These day retreats will include an exploration of awareness and the development of positive emotion in both sitting and walking meditation. There will also be space for questions and discussion.

A DEEPER BEAUTY: SEEING THINGS AS THEY ARE: a meditation day retreat led by Paramananda

A day of meditation focusing on our heart relationship to the way things really are. Through developing our innate ability for awareness and compassion we can move towards a creative and comfortable relationship with ourselves, others and the world.
Open to all those who have been introduced to the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditations.

Paramananda is the author of 'Change Your Mind', 'A Deeper Beauty' and 'The Art of Meditation: The Body'. He has been teaching meditation for twenty-five years and is a very warm, clear, responsive and inspiring meditation teacher.

A series of workshops, exploring the myths of Philemon and Baucis, Eros and Psyche, and Hermes led by Atula (Richard Huson)
This series of days will include relating to our own dream-lives in connection with the themes of these very rich and evocative stories.

PHILEMON AND BAUCIS - SATURDAY 5 APRIL 2008
A day exploring the myth of Philemon and Baucis, whose generous hospitality to the unexpected guests can move us towards openness to divinity in an ungodly age.

EROS AND PSYCHE - SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 24 & 25 MAY 2008
Two days unearthing the deeper layers of this beautiful story. Exploring passion and the necessary trials of love and separation as a catalyst to individuation, consciousness and connection with the beloved.Includes storytelling, with exquisite hand-carved puppets created by Mandarava.

HERMES - SATURDAY 21 JUNE 2008
A day seeking to understand something of the mysterious god/daemon Hermes: exploring the deepest element in the human soul - that which reaches towards fulfillment. Underworld guide, helper and trickster: elusive yet connecting, intimate with both gods and men, Hermes connects us and tricks us into coming into conscious relationship with that which is unknown in ourselves.

Richard Huson (Atula) is known to many for his creative engagement with archetypal and mythic imagination, and for his memorable and transformative communication groupwork. He continues to study extensively in psychotherapy and archetypal psychology and to work as a Psychosythesis therapist, having qualified 19 years ago. He has practised meditation for over 30 years.
