LUNCHTIME MEDITATION
A break to meditate can relieve stress and promote insightful self-development and wellbeing. In lunchtime classes we introduce two meditation practices: the Mindfulness of Breathing and the 'Metta Bhavana' or Loving Kindness meditation.
1.05pm - 1.55pm
13 FEBRUARY - 19 MARCH 2012
Start your week well! Take a break in your working day to relax your mind and body. Learning to meditate is an effective way to discover clear and open states of mind, and to nourish the body with positive inner attention, relaxation and ease. A regular meditation practice can relieve stress and promotes insightful self-development and well-being.
This six week course will give a clear introduction to meditation and give you 2500-year-old tools of transformation, still just as effective and relevant today. The Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana (loving kindness) meditations come from the Buddhist tradition, but you do not need any particular knowledge or beliefs to benefit from practicing them. Newcomers to meditation are welcome.
In The Bedouin Tent, St. Ethelburga's, 78 Bishopsgate, City of London EC2N 4AG
Cost: £65.00 per six week course, £30.00 concessions
